Coincidence?

"When I pray, coincidences happen, and when I don't pray, they don't" ~ William Temple I read this quote earlier today and it got me to thinking how true this is for me. In times when my relationship with God isn't as good as it could be (let's be honest- this happens more frequently that I would like), I don't get that weird 'what a coincidence' feeling.  I don't know if this happens to others, but when I am regularly reading my bible and other articles and praying with God, I'll often read something that a couple of days later someone will ask me something about. This happens quite often with my children's ministry. I will be reading something, then later that week a kid will ask me a question about it and I think 'great, I just read about this, and I know exactly how to answer that question'.  Just this Sunday an instance like this happened. We were in the middle of worship in church singing  This I Believe (the Creed) b...

Just 'be'

It's the first week back of term, and my first week back of normal working hours. However this is not what God wanted! He showed me that most of the time I focus on what I can 'do' instead of who I can 'be'. How a...

This whole Blog thing

My name is Sarah and I am the Kid's Ministry Coordinator at a Pentecostal Church in Adelaide, South Australia. I have decided to start a blog- I'm not going to share it anywhere, or tell anyone that I have it... I will use this as a way to write down some of my thoughts on things. I can't promise that I will regularly post. I can't tell you if I will even post after this first one. Please enjoy my blog posts from an 'Almost Expert' (but not really).
